Jazzy's mum Donna
Jazzys mum "Donna" began making ceramic hearts in 2014. She wanted Jazzy to have her own unique gift hearts, to give away to local community. Jazzy at the age of 4 was first motivated to give her own colourful cut out hearts, when she heard her mum's message ...
"Our World Needs More Heart"
Jazzy shares her message literally, believing that by giving her gift hearts, she is changing her corner of her world, one heart at a time.
Donna felt it would be good for her eyes, which have been steadily getting worse due to 20 years of fighting diabetes1. Her fingers also have been losing circulation and the numbness motivated her into doing something physical. Donna also has a hearing disability and making the hearts does not require a lot of public interaction. Creating her ceramic gift hearts has given mum the perfect opportunity to support jazzy in a very special and worthwhile way. This has built Jazzy's confidence and those very important social skills.
One of the rewards in Jazzys life time journey was when she met a business man, Greg Morton a pizza maker, who was inspired by Jazzy and her gift hearts and was motivated to set up a not for profit organisation called.
"JAZZY'S GIFT"
Jazzys Gift was set up to encourage the message.
"Our World Needs More Heart"
Jazzy's Gift supports the homeless, Jazzy is often seen on the streets of Melbourne encouraging the homeless to also offer gift hearts. By offering gift hearts, the homeless get to rebuild their self esteem and confidence, as it is has done for Jazzy.
